Hyundai has in recent years become synonymous with stylish designs for its automobiles as the company is not afraid to think outside the box in its designs.
The 2021 Hyundai Elantra sedan is the latest in the line of such daring designs with the company giving it brilliant exterior and interior details and infusing advanced technology into its driver-assistance features to make the all-round driving experience quite smooth.
The 2021 Elantra has several different models, including the SE, SEL, Blue Hybrid, N Line, Limited, and Limited Hybrid models.
From its appearance, it is visible that the exterior of the 2021 Elantra was taken through a total redesign, although it maintains its regular front engine location with four doors and can carry 5 passengers.
The interior cabin also was not left out as it was put through some major upgrades. The dashboard of the car as well as the center console are seen to be more on the driver’s side, leaving little on the passenger’s side.
From the top of the dashboard, an optional 10.3-inch digital gauge display is seen side by side with another 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a huge upgrade from the normal 8.0-inch infotainment center display in the N Line, SE and SEL models.
The vehicle is compatible with both the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and possesses a voice recognition feature which allows the driver to be in control just by uttering specific words or phrases.
The car has a leather wrapped steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging pad, automated heated front seats, and shift know.
The driver-assistance features of the car can be seen on the menu, including the Standard automated braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering feature.
The car runs on a standard powertrain which is a 147-hp four-cylinder type, but Hyundai offers variety as the N Line model of the car runs on a 201-hp turbocharged powertrain. There is also a hybrid powertrain used by the company in manufacturing the car.
The standard powertrain is essentially the same one used in previous models as the standard edition of the car will run on a 147-hp four-cylinder engine with which front-wheel drive is the only option. The car also has a continuously variable automatic transmission.
The hybrid model makes use of a 1.6-liter four-cylinder together with an electric motor, making up its output to 139 horsepower. The gearchanges of the vehicle are controlled by a six-speed automatic system, giving it no real difference in acceleration, as compared with older models.
The N Line model, however, is more performance-oriented and is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder and its gearchanges are controlled by a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic dual-clutch system.
All these features contribute to a better acceleration and more adept handling in this model as compared with the other 2021 Elantra models.
The 2021 Hyundai Elantra certainly ticks enough boxes to give it one of the slots as the best in the compact sedan segment of the automobile market so far in 2021.
The new Elantra makes full use of its impressive stylish design, modern technology additions, and great interior space to progress the brand as one of the best in its segment of the market.
