Moreover, placing restoration will exert the same amount of force and pressure used by natural teeth. It will stimulate the underlying tissue for a stronger jaw and prevent the resorption of bone.

3. Alternative treatments do not preserve bone structure:

Treatments like partial dentures and dental bridges can be preferred, but these are not the permanent solution for missing teeth. This is because they effectively treat issues like uneven bite pressure, shifting of teeth towards empty sockets, and restoring the aesthetics of a smile. These dentures or bridges cannot exert the force required by the gums and the jaw bone. In contrast, the jaw gets weak over time because of bone resorption. So, to preserve the jaw bone, dental implants are best suited.
