Determination, integrity, and dedication are the foundation for success. You don’t need a degree to be good at what you do. That takes vision and an ability to see the bigger picture. Gary Finkelstein used sales as a means of survival, but turned it into a legacy. Now he is using his skills to teach others to change their mindset and Think Like A G.

After graduating from the University of Florida, all Gary had was a pile of debt and a piece of paper. The job market was terrible, so he started selling sunglasses at a Sunglass Hut to make ends meet. But Gary was an entrepreneur and investor at heart. He focused on networking with other business professionals and investors who were willing to hear his ideas. He developed a great reputation through his ideas and work ethic and soon gained the attention of someone who would soon change the direction of Gary’s life.

“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently,” says Gary Finkelstein.

This man asked Gary to make a product for him, but the project never came to fruition. However, he asked Gary to sell a condo for him instead. Intrigued by the opportunity, Gary got his license and sold the condo. He became incredibly successful in real estate, making more money from buying than he did selling. Gary’s mentors were incredibly valuable along his journey, and now he mentors others along theirs.

People often ask Gary why he is so confident. They tell him he should be more humble. “I am like, you really want somebody that humble that is going to be selling your highest asset? Don’t you want somebody that thinks that they are the greatest at what they do? Your mindset is everything because whether you can or you can’t, you are right,” says Gary Finkelstein.

To live the life you are meant to, Gary says you continually grow and improve. You can use your thoughts to develop a growth mindset, presenting yourself in a way that promotes success.
