Spice up game night and let your kids unplug from their electronic devices with these five popular card games. Make every moment count in your condo at the Emerald of Katong and have some fun with these recommended card games.

Uno

Almost everyone will know how to play Uno, but the mechanics are simple that you can teach those who don’t know in five minutes or less. It’s a family-friendly game that can accommodate up to eight or nine players, so feel free to add as many as you’d like.

Go Fish!

Another classic card game, Go Fish! is played using a normal deck of cards. Like Uno, the mechanics are pretty simple and a young child should have no problems understanding it. The game ends when a player’s hand is empty, or when there’s only one person left holding cards.

Blackjack

A round of blackjack can be played in as little as a minute or two, making it the perfect card game for families with spare time. Players are given two cards initially, and the objective is to reach as close to the number 21 as possible without going over.

Exploding Kittens

A modern card game that promises hours of fun for the whole family. Exploding Kittens is played to the last man standing, with cards that either help themselves or hinder other players. The game is relatively cheap and you can bring it with you on a road trip or vacation to keep the kids occupied.

Memory Game

Memory game is primarily a kids’ game but can be adjusted in terms of difficulty for adolescents and teens. You can use a normal deck of cards for this. Cards are dealt facedown and arranged; players take turns flipping two cards until they match.
