With such a sad and strange year in 2020, horse racing fans around the world will hope to see a return to as close to normality as you can expect. Fans back at the racetracks, less guidelines and a firm fixture list are all what 2021 could hold. Perhaps even more important than this is the chance for numerous promotions and free bets on offer from the betting companies which you can take advantage of by looking at Thursday racing predictions. They are no exception to the hard times felt by the rest of industry and they are looking to retain some customers. This means it could be a field day for some of the more savvy gamblers amongst us.
History being made
Whilst this could’ve and was meant to happen in the 2020 fixture list, it has been postponed till the 2021 season. I am of course discussing the famous Tiger Roll’s chance to grab a 3rd and historic win at the Grand National. Following wins in the 2018 and 2019 Aintree racecourse, Tiger Roll was poised to join Red Rum in the legendary slot. Following the cancellation of the race this year, punters will have to wait and see if this remarkable horse can go on and do it in 2021. Whilst the horse may be a year off kilter, you cannot account for the sheer magnitude that this race will bring – it’s going to be a belter.
Royal Ascot
The pinnacle of horse racing in the UK this event draws in a huge 300,000 punters through the doors. A further 650 million watch on TV. This race has seen Stradivarius winning for 3 successive years but 2021 looks poised for a tightly run race that will throw the punters some gambling fun and exciting entertainment for horse racing enthusiasts. Aiden O’Brien’s colt – Santiago – is looking in fine shape to throw a spanner in Stradivarius’ works and stop this horse taking its 4th consecutive winner. This makes it look fine for some wagering of bets as the two will split the odds.
Dubai World Cup
Following the scandal after this year’s Saudi Cup, the country will be keen to clean its race and get back to drawing in huge amounts of interest to its races. The Dubai World Cup is a recently inaugurated race but it has grown year on year and continues to draw in the biggest names from around the world. The prize pot reflects this and punters across the globe stick on some serious wagers on this race. The 10 furlong race has seen big winners in recent history with Benbatl, Tiz the Law and Mucho Gusto already hugely prominent in the market. But punters should always have a little look out for the Godolphins dark horse which is often run in this race. They do enjoy an outsider upset – and you could enjoy some of the rewards if you get a winner on one of their horses.
Whilst this year has been a struggle for all, 2021 is poised to be a really good year of racing. And with the hope of a return to a somewhat normal fixture list and environment surrounding the race tracks throughout the world, punters and the racing participants alike can enjoy a fruitful new year – it’s going to be a good one, especially with some of the betting promos on offer.
